Report 2005

                  The Millennium Development Goals Report of Myanmar has been prepared under the direction of the Honourable Prime Minister of the Union of Myanmar.

                  In the prepartion of the report, valuable guidance was provided by His Excellency the Minister for National Planning and Economic Development.

                  The Report was prepared by the Ministry of National Planning and Economic Development. Visual support came from the Ministries concerned, namely

• Ministry of Progress of Border Areas and National Races and development Affairs
• Ministry of Communication, Posts and Telegraphs

• Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement
• Ministry of Mines
• Ministry of immigration and Population
• Ministry of Foreign Affairs

                   The Ministry of National Planning and Economic Development acknowlrdges officials of the ministries concerned for their timely contribution of data and information as well as for the related papers and valuable suggestions.

                   The Ministry is also indebted to reponsible officials from the Planning Department, Central Statistical Organization, National Archives Department, Foreign Economic Relations Department and the Research Unit of the Minister's Office who devoted long hours in preparing the Rport.
