Paper reading session to mark Myanmar Women’s Day held

Daw Khin Myint Myint

Since high school days, she won prizes in Yangon Division shot-put, discus, and javelin sports events. At the age of 18, she took part in Miss Universe event in US. She was the referee at Miss ASEAN Culture 2005 event held in Myanmar and she was selected as referee to represent Myanmar for that contest.? She indulged in many, many social and humanitarian activities as well as religious activities and had donated huge amount of money. She was presented with high class medals by the government and at the 18th Global

Summit, she was awarded the ASEAN Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur 2008. At present she is the President of Myanmar Women Entrepreneur Association.



Daw Kyan

She took part in writing English-Myanmar and Myanmar English Dictionaries, She is an expertise in language and skills and she is now writing full time the dictionary of Myanmar language.  She had published 13 research books in Myanmar History. She won 1078 National Literary Award and with the book Searching for History she was awarded National Literary Award in 2003. She won another literary award with the book Maha  Wun Shin Taw Administration in 2003 and U Ohn Pe’s  Life Long Literary award  in 2004. In 2005 she was awarded National Literary Prize for her book Pre Colonial Village Administration and she was awarded Outstanding Bachelor of Literature (first class) in 2006 and she also won the life-long National Literary award in 2006.



Daw Moe Thida Htwe

 

She won the third prize of U Ohn Pe Literature prize with Kayan literature script in 2003. She won the Sapaybeikman Literature prize for her book

depicting Myanmar culture and arts literature.




Daw Cho Cho Tin (Ma Sandar)

 

From 1965 to date she has written 13 single novels and short and serial stories in magazines. Some of her stories were translated into English, Japan, Thai, Russia and German languages by respective countries. In 1994 she won National Prize with her novel titled life dream, flower dream in 1999 she won National Literature prize for her compiled short stories book and in 2002 she won National Literary Prize for her novel Hsa Hta Gan she won National Literary prize for Youth Literature in 2006 and second class Bachelor of Art outstanding medal in 2006


Ma Khin Myat Noe Htun

 

She passed the 2007 matriculation with 6 distinctions with the total marks 557  and obtained whole of Myanmar first prize




Police Major Daw Than Aye

 

Daw Than Aye carried out her duties as men and when solving crimes she, like men, carried out her duties consciously and systematically day and night. Her leadership is excellent and she was chosen as the outstanding police officer of the People’s Police Force for 2007



Ma Soe Soe Myar
She is one of the outstanding woman athletes of Myanmar. She won gold at 24th South East Asian Games Taekwando Bantam Wt event. In 2007 she won bronze medal in 3rd Korea Taekwando Competition


 


Ma Htet Htet Aye

She is a disabled sports athlete but she excelled herself in various sports events. She won gold prize in the Disabled Sports Competition held in the Philippines in 2005. In 2006 she won silver in javelin, bronze in short-put and discus events in the East and South Pacific countries disabled sports competition held in Malaysia.  In 2007 she won gold prizes in javelin and discuss events of 19th Myanmar Disabled Sports Competition and she won bronze in discus event of the 4th ASEAN Para Games held in Thailand in 2008




Ma Lay Lay Khet

She is a member of Mawlamyine Township Red Cross Battalion. She won many many medals in various Red Cross competitions in her 15 years experience She also won medals for her outstanding performances at Sate and Division level She carried out relief works in 2005 actively She shoulder-to-shoulder with men carried out her duties with might and main deservedly won the title outstanding Red Cross member



Corporal Tin Sandar Cho

For 10545 times she had achieved  fire brigade relief trainings like climbing up and down the rope, jumping from rope to rope and saving patients and victims of fire in any possible means sacrificing her life and blood. She saved the drown, she saved electrocuted victims and she carried all first aid works she was taught too save the life of people and moreover, she donated blood 6 times to save people in need She abide by the five-major responsibility  of the Fired Brigade Corps and thus awarded this outstanding women award



Daw Myint Myint San

 

Sacrificing her life she good naturedly donated blood at the Blood Bank for 96 times and thus honored
