Dance Step 4 (Pan Sike)


Figure-1
  • From the last position, turn your body a little bit to the left and simultaneously, push arms in front and after doing so, curve your hands over your head and finally turn your fingers on the knee.

  • As shown on figure 1 while lifting the hands put your right leg in front with your heels under. When your hands reach the knee, flip the longyi edge of the longyi with your right leg keeping your eyes on the finger tips.

  • As on fingure-2 repeat the dance steps for the right side and dance till the 8 doe beat and clappers end.

Dance Step 5 (Pan Sett)

  • When reaching the end of the 3rd step and after returning to the normal position, lift the arms and keep the shoulders at the same level and curve the right hands at the arm joint, curve it down first and then turn it upwards near the head stretching the finger tips outwards.

  • Simultaneously the left arm is lifted and curve round the head at left arm joint stretching the fingertips outwards.

  • If the left hand is moved then the right feet comes out flicking the edge of the longyi. This step is repeated for both sides of the hand and leg till the end of the 8 beat of the doe.


Dance Step 6 (Let Setkya Kyan Sitt)


  • Reaching the last beat of step 5, twists both arms and keeps your right palm on top with the left palm under. Meaning, the right palm is outside and the left is in the inside.

  • In that hand position keep the body and head, turning a bit to the left and simultaneously lift your right leg behind the left and lifting it.

  • While doing that, keep your eyes looking over the left shoulder.

  • Afterwards, put your left leg down and return to the normal position.

  • In doing so, keep both palms with the right over the left. While doing keep your body moving to the strains of the doe. This step ends after 8 steps doe beat.
