Forest Officer U Wai Lin (Yan Aung) remembered the times he shared with his love when he arrived Mawlamyaing. Wailin met Ma Yin Thant (Soe Myat Thuzar) through his sister at Yangon University. He proposed her and they became sweethearts.

At a time when final exams were near, Ma Yin Thant’s sister died and Ma Yin Thant had to marry her sister’s husband to take care of her sister’s child Thet Mar(Khine Thinn Kyi). Ma Yin Thant explained everything to Wai Lin and she told Min Maung (Ye Aung) about them too.

Ko Min Mg died of Malaria leaving his wife and 4 daughters. Ma Yin Thant while visiting Bago with her daughters met Wailin’s mother and from that day onwards, the daughter noticed past relation between Wailin and Ma Yin Thant. WaiLin proposed again to Ma Yin Thant but she said to wait.

Meanwhile, daughters avoided Wai Lin when he visited their house Wai Lin tried to coax Thet Mar but was unsuccessful. Tu Mar and Theingi too were against him. Both Wai Lin and Ma Yin Thant still have their feelings for each other but they had to act as friends because of the daughters and the environment.

Mother tried to explain her feelings to daughter to no avail. Tu Mar accused the mother whom she called dawlay(aunt) that she had hurt her dead father and that she is leaving. Ma Yin Thant told the daughters of her decision that she would never never marry again and she phoned Ko Wai Lin and told him of her decision.

Thet Mar and her boy friend (a drug victim) were fighting and Ma Yin Thant arrived on the scene and defended her daughter but the knife went through her chest seriously wounding her and she was hospitalized.

Ma Yin Thant’s condition was very critical and blood was needed. At that time Wai Lin‘s letter saying he understood her feelings and her love for the daughters was delivered by hand to the unconscious Ma Yin Thant.

Thet Mar read it. She clearly understood the feelings of Ma Yin Thant and U Wai Lin and she tried to stop Wai Lin but she missed him and she went to Mawlamyaing and told Wai Lin about the conditions of her mother. The mother was still unconscious when she came back but when Thet Mar called mother to her unconscious mother, surprisingly the mother opened her eyes and smiled at her. It was a happy ending for all.
